A good example of a repair and maintenance need is a recent case with one of our clients, Data Aire. We built their custom trade show exhibition booth for them for a show about 2 years ago. They have since been exhibiting the same booth regularly at shows up and down the county, most recently again at the Nashville Data Center World Expo.

As is often the case, this trade show display is a fairly complicated exhibit as their actual product is built into it. Their product, a purpose built data center air conditioning unit, being both expensive and heavy.

We often supervise the setup of these specialist trade show exhibits at the show itself. This is because they need to be presentable as well as structurally sound and safe. Unfortunately damage can sometimes occur usually during the tear down process. At the end of most shows local show services packers along with transportation services return the booth back to the client's headquarters. 'Show Services' are required contracted union labor that is normally hired to do the actual erection and breakdown of the exhibits.  They will be unfamiliar with individual displays and their packing processes.  They will use fork lifts and other equipment to get the disassembled tradeshow booth into trucks for transportation.  It is then sometimes possible for damage to occur at the client's offices where the crates have to be removed from the trucks put into storage.

A good tradeshow booth is an asset that presents the face of your company in an environment where they may be seen, touched and walked upon by more people in a few days than will often have direct visibility of your company in a year otherwise.  It is therefore important that your trade show booth be sound, reusable, maintained and repaired when needed, so that it is always safe and presentable.
